The Mini Shallow is the smallest tub Red Gorilla make: 5 litres held in a dish 28.5cm across and 10.5cm deep. In black it is the one that lives in the tack room for the grubby small jobs — hoof oil, dubbin, a handful of studs, a wet sponge — where staining does not matter.

Black is one of the three Gorilla Tub colours Red Gorilla exclude from their BPA-free claim. The LDPE itself is food grade, but for a pot that holds feed or supplements every day, one of the BPA-free colours is the better choice.

How to Use

• Squeeze the rim between finger and thumb to make a pouring lip when decanting.
• Rinse in warm water with a mild detergent and stand it upside down to drain.
• Nest several together on a shelf — they stack flat and take up very little room.
• Wipe dry before storing powders or supplements in it.
