Agrifence 9V Dry Battery – 90Ah

A 90Ah dry cell battery for 9V electric fence energisers. It is not a rechargeable battery and cannot be made into one: a dry battery is used until it is flat and then recycled, which is the trade-off you accept in return for needing no charger, no mains lead and no attention at all until the fence starts to drop off.

Agrifence list it for the 9V Secur range — the Secur 15, 25, 35 and 60 — and it is the battery type that suits other 9V units such as the Easystop 500. At 90Ah it sits in the middle of Agrifence's three 9V dry batteries, above the 55Ah and below the 130Ah, so it is the usual choice for a paddock or strip grazing setup that is left to run through a season.

How to Use

• Connect the energiser's leads to the marked terminals, observing polarity.
• Sit the battery level and clear of standing water, ideally in a battery box.
• Check fence voltage periodically with a tester rather than waiting for stock to notice.
• Replace the battery when fence voltage falls and the earth system has been ruled out as the cause.
• Keep the spent battery upright until you can take it for recycling.
