Agrifence Super Gate Handle

The Super is Agrifence's extra-large, heavy-duty gate handle: a long insulated body that keeps the whole hand well clear of the live connection, and an internal compression spring that absorbs the pull instead of letting the line be over-extended. On a gateway used several times a day, that spring is what stops a handle being wrenched apart within a season.

Insulation is the whole point of a gate handle. The line either side is carrying the energiser's pulse; the handle is the one part of it that is safe to take hold of, so a generous, properly moulded body is worth more than a saving of a pound or two.

How to Use

• Switch the energiser off before fitting the handle to a live line.
• Attach the conductor to the handle's connection end and check the contact is clean and tight.
• Hook the handle into the gate anchor loop on the opposite post.
• Always open and close by the insulated body — never take hold of the conductor itself.
• Set the line length so the handle closes under moderate tension, not stretched hard.
