Agrifence Tape Buckles – 20mm, Pack of 5
A tape buckle is the plain, inexpensive way to join two lengths of 20mm electric fence tape. The tape threads through the buckle and doubles back on itself, so the join holds mechanically and the tape's conductive filaments are pressed into contact with each other. Agrifence supply them in fives, which is about the number a paddock's worth of fencing actually consumes.
Agrifence recommend them for the Mega and Maxi tape ranges. They are the economy option rather than the premium one: where a join needs to be as electrically clean as possible — a gateway feed, or a long run already losing voltage — the Agrifence Tape Clamp 20mm makes a better contact.
<>Performance & Benefits
- Supplied as a pack of 5 buckles.
- Joins 20mm electric fence tape end to end.
- Economical — the low-cost way to make a routine join.
- Recommended by Agrifence for the Mega and Maxi tape ranges.
- No tools needed: thread, double back and pull up.
Suitable For
- 20mm electric fence tape.
- Joining reels of tape together on a long run.
- Repairing tape that has broken or been cut.
- Keeping a few spares in the fencing bag for field repairs.
- Not the best choice where conductivity matters most — for a gateway feed or a run already low on volts, the Agrifence Tape Clamp 20mm gives a cleaner electrical contact.
How to Use
- Switch the energiser off before working on the tape.
- Thread the first tape end through the buckle and fold it back on itself.
- Bring the second tape end through so the two overlap with the conductive faces together.
- Pull the join up tight and check the tape is flat, not twisted, through the buckle.
- Restore power and test the voltage past the join.
