All For Paws Chill Out Strawberry Ice Cream
The strawberry version of All For Paws' ice cream soaker, a soft summer toy shaped as a scoop on a cone in pinks and creams. The point of it is water: the fabric takes up a good deal, and a dog mouthing and carrying it gets a slow trickle of cool damp against its gums and tongue rather than one brief cold shock.
It sits alongside the blueberry ice cream and the watermelon slice in the same range, and the three are close enough that most people pick on looks. What separates the ice creams from the watermelon is shape rather than function — the cone gives a dog something narrow to grip and carry, where the slice is flatter and easier to lie on and lick.
<>Performance & Benefits
- Holds water in the fabric and gives it up gradually during play.
- Cone shape is easy for a dog to pick up and carry around the garden.
- Soft and light, so it suits gentle play rather than hard fetching.
- Re-soaks in seconds when it dries out.
- One of three shapes in the Chill Out soaker range, with the blueberry ice cream and the watermelon slice.
Suitable For
- Hot afternoons when a dog should not be running about.
- Dogs that like to carry a toy rather than shred it.
- Small and medium dogs, and puppies old enough to play unaided.
- Use in the garden, in a paddling pool, or on a shaded patio.
- Not a dental toy and not a chew: the old store copy claimed it cleans teeth and gums, and All For Paws make no such claim — a proper dental chew does that job.
How to Use
- Soak in cold water and squeeze out the excess before handing it over.
- A short spell in the fridge afterwards keeps it cool for longer.
- Re-wet as often as needed through the afternoon.
- Rinse and dry thoroughly after play, and store it dry.
Specification
- All For Paws Chill Out range, strawberry ice cream shape.
- Barcode 847922082352.
- All For Paws do not list this toy on their current website and publish no dimensions, weight or material for it, so none is given here.
- Dimensions quoted on some retail listings cannot be matched to anything All For Paws publish and are therefore not repeated.
Care & Caution
- Fabric toys are not chew-proof. Watch your dog with it and withdraw it as soon as a seam or the surface gives way, because swallowed fabric can obstruct the gut.
- Take it up when play finishes rather than leaving it down as a permanent toy.
