Allen & Page Layers Crumble – 20kg

A complete layers feed made as a crumble rather than a pellet, which changes how hens eat it. A crumble is harder to pick through, so birds cannot select out the bits they like and leave the rest — selective feeding is how a flock ends up short of the calcium and minerals that a balanced ration was supposed to deliver. It also produces less waste and less dust.

Formulated from quality non-GM ingredients with added omega-3, it provides complete nutrition for hens year round. Marigold flowers support golden yolk colour naturally rather than by synthetic pigment, and prebiotics (FOS) and yeast products help maintain healthy digestion.

Feeding

• Feed as the sole ration from point of lay.
• Provide constant access to clean, fresh water and grit.
• Feed treats and mixed corn only after the crumble, and sparingly.

Care & Caution

• Not suitable for growing birds before point of lay, which need a grower ration — the calcium level is too high for a bird not yet laying.
• Overfeeding mixed corn is the most common cause of poor laying. Keep treats to an egg cup per bird, after the ration.
