Allen & Page Layers Crumble – 5kg

The same complete layers crumble in a smaller bag, suited to a back garden flock of a few birds. Poultry feed loses vitamin content once opened, so buying a size the flock will actually get through matters more than people expect — a 20kg sack fed to four hens will be past its best long before it is empty.

The crumble form is the point of the product: hens cannot pick through it and select out favourites, so each bird gets the balanced ration rather than the bits it likes. It also encourages natural pecking and foraging behaviour, keeping birds active and occupied.

Feeding
