It is formulated without alfalfa, soya, molasses or whole cereal grains, and is low in starch and sugar, which suits horses that react to high-starch diets or are prone to gastric ulcers. The gut support package is unusually thorough: Maerl for bioavailable calcium and magnesium to buffer stomach pH, prebiotics and a probiotic for foregut and hindgut microflora, and apple pectin, which forms a protective gel that moderates stomach acid. Fed at recommended levels it needs no additional supplementation.

Care & Caution

• Contains beet pulp. Soak before feeding, as beet pulp swells and can cause choke if fed dry.
• Fed below the recommended level the vitamin and mineral balance will not hold. Feed to the rate or add a balancer.
