Organic Feed Company Mixed Corn – 20kg

Soil Association certified organic mixed corn, made from organically grown wheat and maize and nothing else. Fed as a treat rather than a ration, it keeps birds busy and helps them hold body temperature overnight through the colder months.

The certification is the point of difference: if the rest of the flock's diet is organic, a conventional corn treat undermines it. Scattered on the ground it encourages the natural foraging and scratching that keeps birds active and out of trouble.

Feeding

• Feed one handful per bird per day, in the afternoon.

Care & Caution

• A treat, not a feed. Corn cannot sustain a laying hen and overfeeding it is the commonest cause of poor laying.
• Store in a cool, dry place in a secure container, both to keep it dry and to stop birds and rodents raiding it.
