Ancol Bamboo Bowl – 650ml
The Bamboo Bowl is Ancol's everyday feeder, moulded from bamboo fibre rather than rigid plastic and holding 650ml in a dish 14cm across and 5cm deep. A silicone ring set into the underside grips the floor, so the bowl stays where it is put while a dog works food around it instead of chasing it across the tiles.
It is light enough to lift and rinse one-handed, dishwasher safe, and supplied in widely recyclable, plastic-free packaging. At 650ml this is the smaller of the two sizes Ancol make, which puts it with cats, small dogs and light feeders rather than large breeds.
<>Performance & Benefits
- Moulded from bamboo fibre, so there is no rigid plastic in the bowl itself.
- 650ml capacity, enough for a full meal or a drink between refills.
- Removable silicone base ring holds the bowl still on tiles, laminate and other hard floors.
- Shallow 5cm depth, kinder to cats and flat-faced breeds than a deep, narrow dish.
- Dishwasher safe, and light enough that hand-washing takes seconds.
- Supplied in widely recyclable, plastic-free packaging.
Suitable For
- Cats, small dogs and medium dogs on normal portions.
- Either food or water, indoors on a hard floor.
- Cats and flat-faced breeds that struggle with deep bowls.
- Households moving away from plastic feeding bowls.
- Not enough capacity for large or giant breeds — the Ancol Ceramic Dog Bowl 1800ml or the Ancol Sage Stainless Steel Feeding Bowl suit those better.
How to Use
- Stand the bowl on a level, hard floor with the silicone ring downwards.
- Wash food bowls after every use, and water bowls at least once a day, in warm water with a mild dish soap.
- Remove the silicone base before putting the bowl in the dishwasher.
- Dry fully before refilling.
Specification
- Capacity 650ml. 14cm diameter, 5cm deep.
- Bamboo fibre body with a removable silicone base ring.
- Ancol product code 972200.
- Also made in 1200ml (17cm diameter, 7cm deep).
- Ancol describe the material only as eco-friendly bamboo fibres and publish no fuller breakdown, so none is given here.
Care & Caution
- Check the bowl regularly for chips, cracks or crazing, and stop using it if you find any.
- Do not clean with abrasive pads or harsh scrubbers.
- This is a feeding bowl, not a chew toy. Lift it between meals if your dog gnaws at the rim.
