Ancol SOHO Daisy & Polka Dot Reversible Dog Harness – XS, 23–38cm

This is one harness with two faces. Hand-drawn daisies on bright blue on one side, navy polka dots on the other; turn it inside out and the look changes without anything else being bought. XS is the smallest of the four sizes Ancol make, adjusting from a 23cm chest girth to 38cm.

At that size it is aimed squarely at puppies, Chihuahuas, miniature dachshunds and small terriers. It is made from 100% recycled fabrics, weighs very little, and Ancol put the saving at four plastic bottles kept from landfill for the harness.

How to Use

• Measure the girth round the deepest part of the chest, just behind the front legs.
• Decide which pattern faces out, then fasten and adjust so two fingers slide under the straps.
• Check a small dog cannot back out of it in the garden before you use it on the road.
• Clip the lead to the harness ring rather than the collar once the dog is in it.
• Rinse mud off and air dry fully.

Care & Caution

• Re-check the fit as a puppy grows. A loose harness on a small dog is an escape waiting to happen.
• Inspect the buckles and stitching regularly and stop using the harness if either is failing.
• Take the harness off indoors if your dog chews fabric — swallowed webbing means a vet visit.
