Ancol Oatmeal Stainless Steel Dog Bowl – XLarge, 1620ml
The XLarge version of Ancol's oatmeal bowl holds 1620ml in a stainless steel dish that lifts out of an oatmeal-coloured outer surround. The surround stays put on its non-slip base while the steel goes to the sink or the dishwasher, so the part that touches food is the part that gets properly cleaned.
1620ml is a large-breed portion or most of a day's water for one dog, and steel is the sensible material at that size — it takes daily washing without staining, holding smells or scratching. The 770ml Large covers smaller dogs if this is more than you need.
<>Performance & Benefits
- 1620ml stainless steel dish, more than double the capacity of the 770ml size.
- Steel dish lifts out of the outer bowl for washing.
- Non-slip base on the outer bowl, which matters more the bigger the dog.
- Stainless steel does not stain, hold smells or scratch up like plastic.
- Dishwasher safe.
- Supplied in widely recycled packaging.
Suitable For
- Large and giant breeds, and multi-dog households.
- Water bowls that need to last most of a day without refilling.
- Dogs on raw or wet food, where washing properly matters.
- Kitchens and utility rooms with hard floors.
- Far too much bowl for cats and small dogs — the 770ml Large version or the Ancol Bamboo Bowl at 650ml fits those better.
How to Use
- Sit the outer bowl on a level, hard floor and drop the steel dish into it.
- Lift the steel dish out to wash after every meal, and rinse the outer bowl at the same time.
- Both parts are dishwasher safe.
- Dry both parts before reassembling so water is not trapped underneath.
Specification
- Capacity 1620ml. Removable stainless steel dish in an oatmeal-coloured outer bowl with a non-slip base.
- Dishwasher safe.
- Ancol product code 972100.
- Also made at 770ml as the Large.
- Ancol list this bowl as stainless steel, not ceramic, and publish no diameter, depth or weight for it, so no dimensions are given here.
Care & Caution
- Lift the steel dish out at every wash — food and water trapped underneath turn sour quickly.
- Do not scour the steel with wire wool or abrasive pads; scratches give bacteria somewhere to sit.
- Check the rim for dents and sharp edges, and stop using the dish if the edge is damaged.
- Neither part is a chew toy. Lift the bowl between meals if your dog chews at it.
