Ancol Reflective Fish Cat Collar – Blue, 20.5–34cm

A gloss blue cat collar printed with reflective fish, adjustable from 20.5cm to 34cm, which covers a well-grown kitten through to a large adult cat. The print picks up headlights and torchlight, and that is the practical part — a cat crossing a lane at dusk is otherwise invisible.

Two features do the real work. The buckle is a break-away type, built to come apart under load so a cat caught on a branch or a fence panel can pull free. And the bell is an oversized one, loud enough to give garden birds a second's warning.

Performance & Benefits
  • Break-away buckle — Ancol state it comes apart so a cat can escape if the collar catches while climbing.
  • Reflective fish print raises visibility in headlights and torchlight.
  • XL warning bell, larger than the usual collar bell, so wildlife gets warning.
  • Adjustable 20.5–34cm, so one collar covers most of a cat's adult life.
  • Light gloss webbing that most cats settle into within a day or two.
  • Supplied in widely recycled packaging.
<>
Suitable For
  • Cats with outdoor access, including cats that climb — Ancol confirm the break-away buckle.
  • Indoor cats that need to be findable and identifiable.
  • Kittens from around a 20.5cm neck upwards, through to large adults.
  • Owners who want the bell for the sake of garden birds and small mammals.
  • Not a collar to clip a lead to — the buckle is built to release under load. A cat that is walked needs a properly fitted cat harness instead.
<>
How to Use
  • Fasten the collar and adjust it so two fingers slide easily between collar and neck.
  • Check the fit weekly on a growing kitten and monthly on an adult; cats change shape with the seasons.
  • Remove the collar when applying a liquid spot-on flea treatment, and leave it off until the coat is dry.
  • Spot clean with a soft damp cloth. Do not machine wash or tumble dry, and let it dry fully before refitting.

Care & Caution
  • Because the buckle is designed to release, this collar is not a restraint. Never clip a lead, a coupler or anything load-bearing to it.
  • A break-away collar can and will be lost. It is not a substitute for a microchip.
  • The two-finger gap matters as much as the buckle. A collar loose enough to get a leg through is the real hazard.
  • Remove the collar while liquid flea treatment is still wet on the skin.
  • Check buckle, bell and stitching regularly, and replace the collar rather than repairing it.
