Ancol Soho Zigzag Collar – Medium, 30–50cm

Most dogs end up in a medium, and this is the Zigzag in that size: 30–50cm at the neck on 2cm webbing, black with hand-drawn pale pink zigzags. The 2cm width is the sensible middle ground — substantial enough to sit flat and carry a tag without twisting, not so wide that it disappears into the coat of a spaniel or a collie.

Ancol print the pattern onto 100% recycled webbing and make the collar in the UK. It is weather-resistant rather than waterproof, which in practice means it can be soaked repeatedly and dries without going stiff, and it washes at 30°C when a wet-dog smell sets in.

How to Use

• Measure around the base of the neck, then allow two fingers of clearance.
• Adjust so the fitted length falls within 30–50cm and the slider still has travel left.
• Re-check after a groom or a moult, when the same collar can suddenly sit loose.
• Machine wash at 30°C, do not tumble dry, and air dry fully before it goes back on.

Care & Caution

• Do not tumble dry; heat will distort the webbing and the buckle.
• Take it off for crating and unsupervised play — flat collars snag on crate bars and branches.
• Not a tether. Do not tie a dog up by a flat collar.
• Replace the collar if the stitching at the D-ring lifts or the buckle no longer clicks firmly.
