Ancol Soho Zigzag Lead – 100cm

The Zigzag lead is black webbing with hand-drawn pale pink zigzags, 100cm long and 1.9cm wide, rated by Ancol for dogs up to 50kg. Of the Soho leads this is the one that ages best on a working walk: a dark ground takes hedgerow mud, wet sand and the black smears that come off a lead clip without looking tired by February.

The webbing is 100% recycled and the lead is made in the UK. At 1.9cm it has enough body to fill the hand properly, which is what actually makes a lead comfortable over an hour — a narrower strap bites into the fingers when a dog checks forward.

How to Use

• Clip to a correctly fitted collar or to the ring on a harness.
• Take the slack across the palm rather than winding the lead round the hand.
• Check the clip and the stitching at both ends before each walk.
• Machine wash at 30°C, do not tumble dry, and let it air dry fully.

Care & Caution

• Do not tumble dry; heat will distort the webbing and weaken the stitching.
• The 50kg rating describes the webbing, not the fittings on whatever collar or harness it is clipped to.
• Keep the lead away from a dog that chews — swallowed webbing is a surgical problem.
• Replace the lead if the clip spring slows or any stitched joint starts to lift.
