Animology Dirty Dawg No-Rinse Dog Shampoo Spray – 250ml
Dirty Dawg is Animology's waterless shampoo: a spray you work through the coat and leave to dry, with no rinsing and no bath. Animology describe it as a vitamin and conditioner enriched no-rinse dog shampoo spray with a deep cleaning action that removes dirt and odour. It is the bottle for the muddy field walk on a weekday, not a substitute for a proper wash.
It carries Animology's Signature scent and a built-in conditioner, and is pH balanced. The base is water and isopropyl alcohol, which is what lets it flash off rather than needing rinsing — and is also why it should not be used near a flame or on broken skin. Animology mark it puppy friendly from six weeks.
<>Performance & Benefits
- No rinsing and no bath — spray, groom through, leave to dry.
- Deodorises and lifts dirt from the coat between full washes.
- Built-in conditioner, so grooming through afterwards is easier.
- Mild and pH balanced for dog skin.
- Infused with Animology's Signature fragrance.
- Animology mark it puppy friendly from six weeks of age.
Suitable For
- Dogs that get dirty faster than they can reasonably be bathed.
- Travel, campervans, shows and anywhere without a hose or a bath.
- Puppies from six weeks, and older dogs that find bathing stressful.
- Touching up the feet and legs after a wet walk.
- It will not replace a wash on a genuinely filthy or greasy dog — for that, Animology Dogs Body or Fox Poo shampoo and a proper bath.
How to Use
- Spray onto the dog's coat.
- Groom through to distribute it evenly.
- Leave to dry. There is no rinsing step.
- Animology note it is excellent for cleaning on the go.
Specification
- 250ml spray bottle. No-rinse liquid.
- Ingredients: aqua, isopropyl alcohol, polysorbate 20, saccharomyces ferment, benzylhemiformal, parfum, PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate, disodium EDTA, panthenol, sodium hydroxide, benzyl alcohol, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, linalool, hexyl cinnamal, limonene, geraniol.
- Barcode 5060180810122.
- Earlier copy on this page described it as allergen-free. That is wrong: the ingredient list declares linalool, hexyl cinnamal, limonene and geraniol, which are the standard declarable fragrance allergens. The same copy claimed anti-itch and anti-fungal action, a 100% vegan status, and a pack weight and carton size — Animology make none of those claims for Dirty Dawg, so none is stated here.
- The ingredient list contains no sulphates, though Animology do not themselves market it as sulphate free.
Care & Caution
- Contains isopropyl alcohol. Keep it away from naked flames and do not spray near a fire, a hob or a smoker.
- Do not spray towards the face. Spray onto a cloth and wipe if you need to clean around the head.
- Do not use it on broken, raw or freshly grazed skin — alcohol on an open wound stings badly.
- It declares four fragrance allergens, so if a dog has reacted to scented products before, use the fragrance-free Animology Derma Dog shampoo and a bath instead.
- Formulated for dogs. Do not use it on cats.
