Badminton Flaked Barley – 15kg
Whole grain barley that has been micronised — cooked with infrared heat and then rolled into flakes. The cooking gelatinises the starch, which makes it substantially more digestible than raw barley and improves palatability at the same time. That extra digestibility is the whole reason to buy flaked rather than rolled.
Barley is more energy dense than oats and higher in fibre than maize, which puts it in a useful middle ground: enough energy to build condition and fat cover, without the sharpness maize can bring. It suits cattle, sheep, goats, horses, rabbits and poultry as part of a balanced ration.
