A high-fibre coarse feed formulated for camelids whose energy and nutrient requirements are not fully met by forage alone. Camelids are efficient converters and generally need very little hard feed, so this is aimed at the specific situations where forage falls short — hard weather, late pregnancy, lactation, or an animal struggling to hold condition.

Micronised cereals and digestible fibre provide readily available energy, while soya and alfalfa supply quality protein and omega oils for healthy skin and a glossy coat — which in a fleece animal is not a cosmetic matter. A full spectrum of vitamins and minerals covers the gaps a forage-only diet leaves, and a light molasses coating keeps palatability up.

Feeding

• Feed sparingly alongside a good source of long fibre.
• Camelids need relatively little hard feed — do not overfeed.
