Baileys Everyday High Fibre Cubes – 20kg

These are the cube version of Baileys' Everyday range and the lower-energy of the two — 8.5 MJ/kg against the mix's 10, 20% fibre against 16, and starch at 15% rather than 29. If you have been weighing up the Everyday Mix against the Everyday Cubes, that is the difference in a line.

There is no barley in them, which is the ingredient most often blamed for fizz, and no whole cereal grain visible in the pellet, so a horse cannot pick around the bits it likes and leave the rest. Vitamins, minerals and soya oil are already in the cube. Supplied in 20kg.

Performance & Benefits
  • 8.5 MJ/kg and 20% fibre — the lowest-energy compound feed in the Everyday range.
  • No barley at all, which helps with horses that go sharp on it.
  • Starch 15% and sugar 4%, both well below the Everyday High Fibre Mix.
  • Fully balanced with vitamins and minerals, so nothing is needed on top.
  • Added soya oil for coat condition.
  • A cube, so nothing can be picked out and left in the bottom of the bowl.
<>
Suitable For
  • Horses and ponies in light work.
  • Horses with low energy requirements that need to hold condition rather than gain it.
  • Owners wanting essential nutrition at a sensible cost.
  • Horses that get excitable on barley-based feeds.
  • Still a cereal-based cube at 15% starch — a laminitic or insulin-resistant horse is better on Baileys No.26 Senior Soft & Lite or Keep Calm Mash.
<>
Feeding
  • Feed by weight alongside forage. One level Stubbs round bowl scoop holds about 1.7kg of cubes.
  • Baileys cap a meal at 0.5kg of cubes per 100kg bodyweight — 2.5kg for a 500kg horse.
  • Keep the whole feed within 1.5–2kg for a horse or 1.25–1.5kg for a pony, chaff and beet pulp included.
  • Feed dry or dampened, split across at least two meals a day.
  • Baileys publish their per-workload rates on the bag rather than on their website; their nutrition team will set one.
