Baileys High Fibre Complete Nuggets – 20kg

The High Fibre Complete Nuggets are Baileys' chunky answer to a standard high fibre cube. The nugget is deliberately larger and crunchier, which slows a horse down and gets it chewing, and unlike a plain fibre cube it is fully balanced — vitamins, minerals, calcium and salt are all in the bag.

Alfalfa meal supplies digestible fibre and quality protein alongside oatfeed, wheatfeed and micronised unmolassed sugarbeet fines. At 8.5 MJ/kg and 20% fibre it is a genuinely low-energy feed, and the chunky format means it can be fed from a bucket or straight off the ground. Supplied in 20kg.

Performance & Benefits
  • Fully balanced: vitamins, minerals, calcium carbonate and salt are all included, so no balancer is needed.
  • 8.5 MJ/kg and 20% fibre — low energy without being empty bulk.
  • Chunky, crunchy nugget that encourages chewing and slows a fast eater down.
  • Alfalfa meal for digestible fibre and quality protein.
  • Micronised unmolassed sugarbeet fines add fermentable fibre.
  • Can be fed from the ground or from a bucket, which suits a horse that will not use a haynet.
<>
Suitable For
  • Horses and ponies with low energy needs that still want a balanced high-fibre diet.
  • Horses whose teeth make long forage hard work.
  • Feeding as a partial forage replacer alongside whatever hay the horse can still manage.
  • Fast eaters that need slowing down.
  • Not a conditioning feed — a horse that needs weight putting back on wants Baileys No.4 Top Line Conditioning Cubes.
<>
Feeding
  • Feed by weight alongside forage. One level Stubbs round bowl scoop holds about 1.8kg of nuggets.
  • Baileys cap a meal at 0.5kg of cubes per 100kg bodyweight — 2.5kg for a 500kg horse.
  • Keep total meal size within 1.5–2kg for a horse or 1.25–1.5kg for a pony, chaff and beet pulp included.
  • Feed dry or dampened; dampening suits an older mouth.
  • Baileys publish their per-workload rates on the bag rather than online, so ring their nutrition team for a rate.
