Shed Control is the bottle that actually earns the omega claim the rest of the range repeats. Buddycare name omega 3 and 6 oils, glycolipids, aloe vera, lemongrass, oat kernel oil and pro-vitamin B5 in it, and describe the job as strengthening the hair follicle so less coat comes away between grooms.

It will not stop a double-coated dog blowing its undercoat — nothing in a bottle does — but used through a heavy moult it loosens dead hair into the bath rather than onto the sofa. Buddycare recommend two or three washes a week while the coat is dropping, then once a week to hold it.

How to Use

• Wet the coat right through, working water down to the skin on a thick coat.
• Lather and massage well in, then rinse thoroughly.
• Use two to three times a week during heavy shedding, and weekly to maintain.
• Brush or rake the coat out once dry to lift the hair the wash has loosened.
• Avoid the eyes; rinse with water on contact.
• Buddycare give a 20:1 dilution ratio for the concentrate.
