Buddycare Baby Fresh Waterless Dry Dog Shampoo – 200ml

This is the one for a puppy that has rolled in something and cannot yet face a bath. It goes on dry, gets massaged through and is brushed out — no rinsing, no towelling, no standoff at the bathroom door. The base is cocamidopropyl betaine with lauryl glucoside, both mild amphoteric and sugar-derived surfactants rather than sulphates.

The scent is the baby powder note that runs through Buddycare's Baby Fresh line, and the active additions are aloe barbadensis leaf juice and panthenol, the pro-vitamin B5 that leaves a coat feeling less dry after a wash. Buddycare clear it from eight weeks, which is younger than most grooming products, and the 200ml bottle covers a lot of quick cleanups.

Performance & Benefits
  • Rinse free — apply, massage, brush, done. No water and no drying off.
  • Mild cocamidopropyl betaine and lauryl glucoside base, free of SLS, sulphates and parabens.
  • Aloe barbadensis leaf juice and panthenol for a softer coat after use.
  • pH balanced for a dog's skin, which sits higher than a person's.
  • Cleared by Buddycare from eight weeks of age.
  • 200ml bottle — small enough for a coat pocket or a car door.
<>
Suitable For
  • Puppies from eight weeks, and dogs that dislike being bathed.
  • Muddy legs and bellies after a walk, without running a bath.
  • Older or ill dogs who cannot stand in a bath comfortably.
  • Camping, shows and anywhere without warm running water.
  • Never on cats — Buddycare state this is a dog-only formula and point cat owners to a cat shampoo.
<>
How to Use
  • Apply to the dog's coat and gently massage it in.
  • Work it down to the skin on the dirty areas rather than spreading it thinly everywhere.
  • Brush the coat through if necessary.
  • No rinsing — the formula is rinse free.
  • Let the coat dry naturally; towel off only if the dog is very wet underneath.
<>
Specification
  • 200ml bottle of rinse-free waterless dog shampoo.
  • Ingredients: aqua (water), cocamidopropyl betaine, glycerin, phenoxyethanol, sodium chloride, polysorbate 20, lauryl glucoside, sodium benzoate, sodium hydroxide, aloe barbadensis (aloe) leaf juice, panthenol (provitamin B5), parfum.
  • Free from SLS, sulphates and parabens.
  • Buddycare publish this same ingredient list for every scent in the waterless range — baby fresh, black cherry, oatmeal and vanilla & shea butter differ only in the parfum.
  • Buddycare publish no pH figure, no shelf life after opening and no dilution rate, so none is given here.
<>
Care & Caution
  • Buddycare formulate this for dogs only and say plainly not to use it on cats, whose skin pH differs. Use a cat shampoo on a cat.
  • It is rinse free, so it stays on the coat and the dog will lick it. Use only what the coat needs, and keep it off the muzzle and around the mouth.
  • Keep it out of the eyes and ears. Flush with clean water if any gets in.
  • Not for puppies under eight weeks.
  • Stop using it if the skin reddens or the dog scratches more after a wash, and speak to your vet.
