Feeding

• Feed by expected adult weight and age. A 25kg-adult pup: 180g at 2–3 months, 370g at 4–6 months, 380g at 6–12 months.
• A 40kg-adult pup: 220g at 2–3 months, 490g at 4–6 months, 535g at 6–18 months.
• A 60kg-adult pup: 285g at 2–3 months, 690g at 4–6 months, 725g from six months on.
• Divide the daily amount into two or three meals.
• Weigh the pup fortnightly and adjust — the table is a starting point, body condition is the check.
• Fresh water at all times.

Care & Caution

• Do not add a calcium or mineral supplement on top of this food. Over-supplying calcium during growth is a recognised cause of skeletal disease, and large breeds are the most vulnerable of all.
• Feed to a steady growth curve rather than to appetite. A large-breed pup allowed to eat freely grows faster than its joints can carry.
