Carnilove ACTIVE Salmon & Turkey Grain-Free Dry Food for Junior Large Breeds – 1.5kg
For large-breed youngsters from one to twenty-four months whose expected adult weight is 25kg or more. The distinguishing figure is the fat: 14.0% and 3,641 kcal/kg, the lowest in the ACTIVE dog range, because a large-breed pup that grows too fast is at real risk of hip, elbow and growth-plate trouble.
Calcium is held at 1.5% and phosphorus at 1.1%, and Carnilove's feeding table runs by expected adult weight and age rather than by current weight — a 40kg-adult pup gets 220g at three months and 535g at a year. Salmon leads at 26% fresh, with turkey protein at 24%.
<>Performance & Benefits
- Set for controlled growth: 14.0% fat and 3,641 kcal/kg, the leanest ACTIVE dog recipe.
- Calcium 1.5%, phosphorus 1.1% — the ratio that matters most during large-breed growth.
- 26% fresh salmon and 24% turkey protein, 75.0% of total protein from animal sources.
- Glucosamine and chondroitin from the first bag onwards.
- Omega-3 at 0.5% from salmon oil and linseed.
- Feeding table published by expected adult weight and age, not just current weight.
Suitable For
- Puppies and adolescents of 1–24 months expected to finish at 25kg or more.
- Retrievers, shepherds, setters, mastiffs and the giant breeds.
- Owners who want growth slowed deliberately rather than maximised.
- Too lean for a small or medium pup, which needs more calories per kilo — Carnilove ACTIVE Salmon & Turkey for Puppies is the all-breed growth food for those.
Feeding
- Feed by expected adult weight and age. A 25kg-adult pup: 180g at 2–3 months, 370g at 4–6 months, 380g at 6–12 months.
- A 40kg-adult pup: 220g at 2–3 months, 490g at 4–6 months, 535g at 6–18 months.
- A 60kg-adult pup: 285g at 2–3 months, 690g at 4–6 months, 725g from six months on.
- Divide the daily amount into two or three meals.
- Weigh the pup fortnightly and adjust — the table is a starting point, body condition is the check.
- Fresh water at all times.

Care & Caution
- Do not add a calcium or mineral supplement on top of this food. Over-supplying calcium during growth is a recognised cause of skeletal disease, and large breeds are the most vulnerable of all.
- Feed to a steady growth curve rather than to appetite. A large-breed pup allowed to eat freely grows faster than its joints can carry.
