Carnilove Freeze-Dried Raw Treats – Salmon & Turkey

The most heavily specified treat in the Carnilove freeze-dried line. Alongside the meat it carries 1% Ascophyllum nodosum — knotted wrack, the brown seaweed used for its iodine and trace minerals — and an inactivated postbiotic, Lactobacillus helveticus HA-122, at 15 billion cells per kilogram. Neither appears in the other freeze-dried treats.

Check the order of the ingredients against the name: the composition is 68% turkey trimmings and 26% salmon, so turkey is the majority meat. Carnilove have themselves renamed the successor product Turkey & Salmon, which puts the ingredients the right way round.

Suitable For

• Adult dogs only — Carnilove do not clear this recipe for puppies.
• Dogs that respond to fish where meat treats leave them cold.
• Use as a training reward or crumbled over a meal as a topper.
• Dogs whose coat and skin benefit from marine ingredients.
• Not right for a puppy or for a dog avoiding poultry — the Carnilove Freeze-Dried Raw Treats Turkey is cleared for puppies, and the lamb version is the one with no poultry or fish in it.

Feeding

• Complementary feed for adult dogs. Offer as a snack or as a topper over the main meal.
• Small dogs 1–10kg: 2 pieces, or 5g as a topper.
• Medium dogs 10–25kg: 2–4 pieces, or 5–10g as a topper.
• Large dogs over 25kg: 4 or more pieces, or 10g and upwards as a topper.
• Reduce the main ration to account for them.
• Reseal after opening and keep fresh drinking water available.
