Fresh beef at 70% with no meat meal anywhere in the recipe — that is what the True Fresh name is claiming, and this is the only Carnilove cat food built on beef. The added fat is beef fat at 3%, so there is no chicken in the bag either.

It is formulated for sterilised cats: 35% crude protein on 3,626 kcal/kg, taurine at 2,500mg/kg and L-methionine at 5,000mg/kg to acidify the urine. The 400g bag is the right size for a first trial before committing to a bigger one.

Feeding

• Carnilove's guide by bodyweight: 2–3kg 30–45g a day; 3–5kg 45–65g; 5–7kg 65–80g; 7–9kg 80–90g.
• Split across the day rather than putting the whole ration down at once.
• Introduce gradually over about a week when changing from another food.
• Fresh drinking water always available — it matters more on a dry diet than on any other.
