Brecknell Turner is a traditional soft wax saddle soap, and CDM position it plainly: it is the alternative to the Belvoir conditioner bar for anyone who wants a matt finish rather than a shine. The wax thoroughly conditions the leather without leaving a gloss on the surface.

It feeds and preserves the hide so it does not dry out or crack, keeping tack supple and protecting it from everyday wear. CDM list it in 250ml and 500ml; this is the larger of the two, which suits a yard or anyone cleaning a full set of tack regularly.

How to Use

• Clean the tack first with Belvoir Step 1 Tack Cleaner Spray and let it dry.
• Apply the soap evenly to the clean tack and gently rub it in with a cloth or sponge.
• Allow it to absorb into the leather.
• Buff lightly with a soft cloth if you want to even the finish out.

Care & Caution

• Not suitable for aniline or untreated leather, suede or nubuck.
• Test on a hidden area before first use.
• Build it up thinly rather than in one heavy coat; wax left thick on the surface simply collects dirt.
• Over-conditioning stretches leather. Reins, stirrup leathers and girth straps that have gone soft and slack should be replaced rather than fed further.
