Digby & Fox Rolled Leather Dog Collar – Tan, Size XS

Rolled leather is stitched round rather than left flat, and on a small dog with any length of coat that matters more than it does on a smooth-coated one — a flat strap on a papillon or a small spaniel leaves a permanent parting in the ruff. This is Shires' soft rolled leather in tan, with brass fittings and a Digby & Fox tag.

Size XS on Shires' rolled and padded chart takes a 29–34cm neck, which is a cavalier, a small cocker, a miniature poodle or a good-sized terrier. Note that the rolled chart is not the same as Shires' standard collar chart, where XS starts at 26cm — measure against the right one.

How to Use

• Measure the neck with a soft tape where the collar sits, and read Shires' rolled and padded chart, not their standard collar chart.
• Buckle it so two fingers pass comfortably underneath.
• Wipe clean, as Shires direct, and dry naturally away from heat.
• Feed the leather with a balsam occasionally so the roll stays supple.
• Check the fit regularly on a young or growing dog.

Care & Caution

• Leather must not be soaked. Do not machine wash it, tumble dry it, or leave it on a dog that swims.
• Not a breakaway collar — remove it from a crated or unsupervised dog, where the tag can catch.
• Never tether a small dog by the collar.
• Inspect the stitching either side of the buckle; a rolled collar fails at the seam.
• Replace it once the leather cracks, dries out or stretches.
