Dodson & Horrell Elite Sport Muesli – 20kg
Elite Sport Muesli is Dodson & Horrell’s answer to the familiar problem of a horse that needs competition-level fuel but cannot take the starch that usually comes with it. At 12% starch it is the lowest-starch muesli they make, it is free of oat grain, and the calories come instead from a 9% oil inclusion.
Digestive support is built in rather than bolted on: FOS and MOS prebiotics, ActiSaf live yeast and their Fibre Plus Complex all sit in the mix, aimed at the hindgut environment that suffers first when a horse is travelling, competing and standing in. Vitamin E is lifted to 700mg/kg for the same reason.
<>Performance & Benefits
- 12% starch, the lowest of the Dodson & Horrell muesli range, and free of oat grain.
- 9% oil, so the energy is largely slow-release rather than cereal starch.
- FOS and MOS prebiotics, ActiSaf live yeast and Fibre Plus Complex for the hindgut.
- Lysine at 6.3g/kg to support muscle development and repair.
- Vitamin E at 700mg/kg, with plant-sourced antioxidants alongside it.
- Chelated minerals, chosen for better absorption than inorganic forms.
Suitable For
- Performance horses in hard or competition work.
- Horses prone to gastric ulceration or a sensitive digestive system.
- Horses that cannot have oats or need starch kept down.
- Horses that need condition and fuel but lose the plot on a traditional mix.
- Not a feed for a good doer, a laminitic or a horse at rest — Dodson & Horrell High Fibre Nuts are the low-calorie option for those.

- Divide into at least two to three meals a day.
- Keep forage intake at a minimum of 2kg per 100kg bodyweight per day.
