The 500g tub is the starter size of Equimins' shell supplement — enough for roughly a hundred bird-days at their stated rate of half a 10ml measure each, so a fortnight or so for six hens. It is the size to buy while you find out whether shell quality is the problem you actually have.

The powder itself is pure dicalcium phosphate from phosphate rock, white and tasteless, supplying calcium and phosphorus at 1.3:1. A 10ml measure is packed in the tub, and one level measure holds 10g.

Feeding

• Sprinkle a small amount onto the food.
• Poultry: approximately half a 10ml measure per bird per day.
• Average dog: one measure per day. Smaller animals: a quarter to half a measure per day.
• One level 10ml measure weighs 10g, so a 500g tub is about fifty measures.
• Store at 10–20°C and replace the lid after use.
