Equus Health Clivers & Marigold – 1kg
Clivers and marigold are two of the traditional lymphatic herbs, and Equus Health pack them together rather than asking you to buy and weigh them separately. Their own description is short and does not overreach: two herbs to aid the lymphatic system, worth considering for filled legs and soft swellings.
This is the pairing people reach for when a horse comes in from a night in with puffy hind legs that walk off in ten minutes. At the published 30g a day a 1kg tub is around a month and a week, which is about the length of course most owners give a lymphatic herb before deciding whether it is doing anything.
<>Performance & Benefits
- Two herbs in one pack — clivers and marigold — so there is nothing to blend at home.
- Equus Health position it squarely at the lymphatic system rather than making broader claims.
- Suggested by Equus Health for filled legs and soft swellings.
- Fed dry, straight into the hard feed, with no soaking.
- A 1kg tub at the published rate is about 33 days for one horse.
Suitable For
- Horses that fill in the legs overnight or when standing in.
- Horses on box rest or reduced turnout, where movement is limited.
- Owners who want a named two-herb mix rather than a long ingredient list.
- Anyone already feeding marigold on its own who wants the clivers alongside it.
- Not a substitute for a diagnosis: a leg that is hot, painful, one-sided or not walking off needs a vet, not a herb.
Feeding
- Horses and ponies: approximately 30g daily.
- Equus Health give the same rate as four 50ml scoops per day.
- One rate is published for horses and ponies together; there is no separate figure by size.
- Add to the normal hard feed, damped slightly so the dried herb does not sit on top.
- 1kg at 30g a day is about 33 days for one horse.
Composition & Analysis
- Composition: clivers and marigold. 1kg pack.
- Equus Health do not publish the ratio between the two herbs, so none is quoted here.
- No typical analysis is published for this blend — no protein, oil, fibre, sugar or ash figures are declared by Equus Health, and none are invented here.
