Felix As Good As It Looks Senior Cat Food Mixed, (12 x 100g)
Felix As Good As It Looks 7+ Mixed Selection in Jelly
As Good As It Looks is the shredded-chunk end of the Felix range, and the 7+ version is reformulated for cats over seven rather than simply relabelled. The Mixed Selection runs four recipes across the box — beef, chicken, salmon and tuna — all in jelly, so a cat that goes off one flavour has three others in the same carton.
The chunks themselves are the point of the range: Purina declare them at 44% meat and animal derivatives in the beef and chicken recipes and 40% in the salmon and tuna, which is what gives the shredded texture rather than the paté mash. At 82kcal per 100g and 80% moisture it is a wet food that carries water into a cat that does not drink much, which matters more as cats age.
<>Performance & Benefits
- Four recipes in one box — beef, chicken, salmon and tuna, all in jelly.
- Chunks declared at 44% meat and animal derivatives in the beef and chicken recipes, 40% in the salmon and tuna.
- 80% moisture, so each pouch contributes usefully to daily water intake.
- 82kcal per 100g — low enough to feed a full day’s ration in three pouches without loading calories.
- Taurine added at 343mg/kg, which cats cannot make in sufficient quantity themselves.
- Shredded chunks rather than a solid loaf, which suits an older cat with worn or missing teeth.
Suitable For
- Cats of seven years and over, which is the age Purina formulate this for.
- Fussy cats — four flavours in a box gives you somewhere to go when one is refused.
- Cats that drink little and need moisture through their food.
- Feeding alongside a dry food, as part of the daily ration rather than on top of it.
- Not a kitten or young adult food — Purina make As Good As It Looks in an adult version for cats under seven.
Feeding
- Purina’s guide: an average 4kg senior cat needs three pouches a day, split across at least two meals.
- Adjust up or down for a cat that is heavier, lighter or more active.
- Serve at room temperature; jelly from the fridge dulls the smell and a fussy cat notices.
- Cover and refrigerate any part-used pouch and use it within 24 hours.
- Fresh water alongside, every day, even on an all-wet diet.
