Glenmorangie A Tale of Winter was dreamed up by Dr. Bill Lumsden while snowed in at home, with the goal of capturing the snug, magical feeling of a fireside as snow blankets the world outside. To get there, he finished 13-year-old Glenmorangie, from the Tain distillery whose tall stills have produced Scotland's most delicate Highland spirit since 1843, in Marsala wine casks from Sicily.

Bottled at 92 proof, it begins with light flurries of fruit and honey, builds to torrents of cocoa dust, flakes of red pepper and chunks of Brazil-nut toffee, and culminates in a feels-like-forever finish that swirls with cinnamon, ginger and clove. Released in 2021 as the second chapter of the award-winning A Tale Of series, it is a limited edition made for cold nights, holiday gifting and anyone who loves a rich, spiced dram by the fire.
