Gorilla Tub Small 14L – Green

Green is the Gorilla Tub that disappears into a garden. At 14 litres it is small enough to carry one-handed when part full, and the deep 24cm body suits weeds, prunings, potting compost and windfalls better than a wide shallow trug does.

Underneath the colour it is the same food-grade LDPE tub as the rest of the small size: ribbed flexible walls, moulded golf-ball handles, frost and UV resistant. It flattens under a boot and springs back, and a plug of ice can be flexed straight out of it.

Performance & Benefits
  • 14 litre capacity in a deep tub 24cm tall, 32cm across the top and 25cm across the base.
  • Food-grade LDPE, so unlike Red Gorilla's general-purpose buckets this one is made for feed and water.
  • Flexible ribbed body: it squashes flat-ish under a foot and takes its shape back, and frozen water can be flexed straight out of it.
  • Red Gorilla's signature golf-ball handles, moulded into the rim so there is nothing to snap off.
  • Frost, UV and weather resistant, and stackable when empty.
  • This is the deep 14L shape, not the wide shallow 15L — it is for carrying and holding, not for a horse to eat from off the floor.
<>
Suitable For
  • Feed and water, being food-grade LDPE rather than general-purpose plastic.
  • Carrying feed, hard fruit and veg, grooming kit, rubble or tools around the yard.
  • Mixing small batches of plaster or mortar, and general garden and household use.
  • Anywhere a rigid bucket keeps cracking — dropped, stood on or frozen, the flexible body survives what a rigid one does not.
  • Too deep and narrow for a horse to eat a shallow floor feed from — the Gorilla Plas S1 Small Feed Skip 11L is the wide, shallow shape for that, and the Multi-Tub Round 65L is the one for soaking hay.

How to Use
  • Carry it by both golf-ball handles; one-handed on a full 14 litres will twist the rim.
  • Squeeze the rim into a lip to pour, then let it spring back.
  • To clear ice, flex the sides in and the plug will drop out in one piece.
  • Rinse and invert to drain. Tubs stack inside one another for storage.

Specification
  • Capacity 14 litres. Height 24cm, top diameter 32cm, base diameter 25cm.
  • Food-grade LDPE with flexible ribbed sides and moulded golf-ball handles. Frost, UV and weather resistant.
  • Red Gorilla's BPA-free claim across the Gorilla Tub range excludes black, green and yellow, so this colour is food-grade LDPE but is not covered by that claim.
  • Colour: Green. Red Gorilla list ten colours in this size, and formerly sold the range as Tubtrugs.
  • Red Gorilla publish no tested working load for the handles, so no weight rating is claimed here. Their own listing gives an empty weight of 0.1kg, which is out of line with the 0.4kg they publish for the comparable Small Shallow 15L, so no weight is stated.

Care & Caution
  • If a BPA-free tub matters to you for feed or drinking water, this is not the colour to choose — Red Gorilla exclude black, green and yellow from that claim. Blue, red, pink, purple, orange, pistachio and sky blue are covered.
  • Do not hammer or lever a frozen tub against a hard edge. LDPE is far less forgiving at low temperatures than it is in a warm barn; flex the sides in to release the ice instead.
