Gorilla Tub Small 14L – Orange

The Small Gorilla Tub holds 14 litres in a deep, round body 24cm tall and 32cm across the top, narrowing to a 25cm base. That is roughly one horse's hard feed with room to stir, or a comfortable carry of water from the tap to a stable, and the depth is the point — a deep tub keeps its contents in when you swing it over a door.

Orange is the colour to reach for when the tub spends its life on the floor of a busy yard among hay, hoses and haylage wrap. It shows up against straw and mud in a way that pistachio and sky blue do not, which matters more than it sounds when you are carrying a headcollar in the other hand.

How to Use

• Lift by both golf-ball handles when it is full; the sides flex, so a one-handed carry lets the load swing.
• Rinse out between a hard feed and a water fill — the same tub does both, but not at once.
• Wash in warm water with a mild detergent. The interior is smooth, so there is nothing for feed to lodge in.
• If water freezes in it, flex the sides and knock the ice out rather than chipping at it.
• Store it upturned or nested inside another tub so it does not fill with rain.
