Gorilla Tub Small 14L – Red

Red is Red Gorilla's own colour and the Small 14L is the size the brand is best known for: 24cm deep, 32cm across the rim, 25cm across the base, moulded from food-grade LDPE. What distinguishes it from a rigid bucket is not toughness in the usual sense but the way it fails — it flattens under a hoof and comes back, where a rigid tub splits and is finished.

That flexibility is also why ice comes out of it. Water frozen solid in a rigid bucket has to be chipped out; in this one you flex the sides and the whole disc drops out, which in January is the difference between two minutes and ten across a row of stables.

How to Use

• Lift by both golf-ball handles when it is full; the sides flex, so a one-handed carry lets the load swing.
• Rinse out between a hard feed and a water fill — the same tub does both, but not at once.
• Wash in warm water with a mild detergent. The interior is smooth, so there is nothing for feed to lodge in.
• If water freezes in it, flex the sides and knock the ice out rather than chipping at it.
• Store it upturned or nested inside another tub so it does not fill with rain.
