GWF Nutrition Immune Aid for Horses – 3kg Pouch

Immune Aid is GWF's antioxidant and immune supplement, fed as a flat 100g measure. Turmeric extract at 5,000mg per kilo carries the curcumin, piperine at 100mg helps it get absorbed, and grape seed extract at 1,600mg sits alongside vitamin E at 1,000mg and vitamin C at 700mg.

The base is hemp seed husks, oat flour, micronised beet pulp and oats, with live yeast at around 30 billion cfu per kilo and rosehips and oregano leaves at 0.5% each. GWF state it as safe for foals, mares in foal and senior horses, and as suitable for horses with ulcers, asthma or sweet itch.

Feeding

• One measure, 100g, daily for all horses and ponies, mixed into the normal feed.
• A 3kg pouch is 30 days at that rate.
• Feed continuously rather than as a short course.
• Fresh water at all times.

Composition & Analysis

• Composition: hemp seed husks, oat flour, micronised sugar beet pulp, oats, oat bran, cane molasses, sucrose, seaweed meal, vegetable oils and fats, yeast products, calcium sulphate anhydrous, 0.5% rosehips, 0.5% oregano leaves, 0.5% fructo-oligosaccharides, MSM, maize cobs, flavouring compounds, sodium chloride, magnesium stearate and palmitate, calcium carbonate, dried blackcurrants, propylene glycol.
• Analytical constituents: crude protein 15.3%, crude fibre 12.4%, crude oils and fats 7.8%, crude ash 11.4%, sodium 0.2%, digestible energy 12.6MJ/kg.
• Additives per kg: vitamin C 700mg, vitamin D3 20,000 IU, vitamin E 1,000mg, beta-carotene 60mg, selenium as L-selenomethionine 1mg, live yeast at around 30 billion cfu, turmeric extract 5,000mg, grape seed extract 1,600mg, L-glutamic acid 1,200mg, piperine 100mg, plus sepiolite and silicic acid binders and permitted preservatives.

• Contains hemp seed husks, which carry trace THC. GWF state that Immune Aid is not currently FEI-compliant, and advise stopping it two days before competing.
