Henry Bell Heritage Fat Ball Feeder – 32cm
This is the full-size Heritage fat ball feeder rather than the Everyday version: 32cm tall and holding five fat balls, which at Henry Bell's own 80g a ball is 400g of feed in one loading. In a cold snap that is the difference between refilling every other day and refilling twice a week.
The body is aluminium in Henry Bell's antique gold and bronze — light, corrosion-resistant, and one of the few feeder finishes that looks better after a season outdoors than a painted steel one does. It is the Heritage collection's main suet point, sized to sit alongside the 32cm Heritage seed and peanut feeders on the same station.
<>Performance & Benefits
- Holds five fat balls — 400g of feed at Henry Bell's stated 80g a ball.
- 32cm tall, the full Heritage size rather than the compact Everyday one.
- Aluminium: light, strong and corrosion-resistant, so it will not rust in wet weather.
- Antique gold and bronze finish, matched to the Heritage seed, peanut and sunflower feeders.
- Large capacity means fewer refills through the weeks when it matters most.
- Hangs from a feeding station, a bird table or a hook on a branch.
Suitable For
- Henry Bell fat balls and suet balls.
- Great tits, blue tits, coal tits, long-tailed tits, dunnocks, nuthatches, starlings and robins.
- Busy gardens where a small fat ball feeder empties in a day.
- Feeding stations already carrying the 32cm Heritage seed or peanut feeders.
- More capacity than a quiet garden needs — the Heritage Everyday Fat Ball Feeder is the smaller option.
How to Use
- Open the lid, load up to five fat balls and close it before hanging.
- Hang from a feeding station arm, bird table or branch hook, near enough to cover for birds to retreat.
- Clear crumbs from the base at each refill.
- Wash weekly in warm water with a bird-safe hygiene product and dry fully before reloading.
- In a wet spell, load fewer balls and refill more often so none sits damp for days.
Specification
- Height 32cm. Capacity five fat balls. Henry Bell product code H040018.
- Aluminium, described by Henry Bell as light, strong and corrosion resistant.
- Finished in Henry Bell's antique gold and bronze.
- Henry Bell publish no diameter, weight or hanger material for this feeder, so none is stated here. Descriptions elsewhere specifying a stainless steel hanger have no manufacturer source.
- Henry Bell do not list this feeder as taking their Suet Rolls; that compatibility claim appears on some retail listings and is not repeated here.
