Hubblick Garlic Horse Lick – 10kg

Garlic is the traditional yard lick, and Hubblick's version puts it into a weatherproof 10kg block the horse can work at freely instead of having garlic powder measured into a bucket. Hubblick name garlic, comfrey, fenugreek and mint among the ingredients.

The published figures are limited: sugar at 12%, vitamins A, D3, E and the B-complex, and trace minerals including zinc, iodine and selenium. Hubblick publish no full ingredient declaration and no percentage analysis, so nothing further is asserted on this page.

Care & Caution

• Hubblick make no laminitis claim for this lick, and at 12% sugar it is not a sugar-free product. Earlier copy on this page said it suited laminitic ponies; that claim has been removed.
• Garlic fed in large amounts over long periods has been associated with anaemia in horses. Free access to a garlic lick is worth monitoring rather than ignoring.
• Ration access if a horse gets through the block unusually quickly.
