KM Elite Argentinian Dog Lead – Traditional, Narrow

Traditional is the navy, red and white colourway of KM Elite's Argentinian lead — honey leather with the polo-belt pattern running the length of the strap. It is the busiest of the three colourways they make, and the one that reads as a hunting or shooting lead rather than a town one.

This is the narrow width. KM Elite offer the lead in Narrow and Wide only and publish no measurement for either, so the 1.9cm figure in the title comes from retail listings rather than from the manufacturer. What the narrow strap does give you is a lead that folds comfortably into one hand on a small or medium dog.

How to Use

• Clean the leather with a leather cleaner — KM Elite recommend Renapur — and work it in rather than soaking it.
• If it gets wet, blot the moisture off with a dry towel and let it air dry away from direct heat.
• Do not machine wash and do not dry it on a radiator or in an airing cupboard.
• Feed the leather occasionally rather than waiting for it to go stiff; leather that has dried hard does not come back.
• Clip to the collar's D-ring or the harness ring, and hold the lead folded rather than wrapped around your hand.
