KM Elite Double Braided Cotton Lead Rope – 7ft, Red

Red is the traditional yard colour and the one most people reach for first. This is KM Elite's cotton double braid in that shade: 7ft, 2.13m, round in section, tightly braided and finished with a brass plated swivel bolt snap.

The double braid gives the rope enough weight to hang straight rather than curling, so it feeds out smoothly when you let a horse have some slack and takes up again without tangling. Cotton keeps it soft on the hands right through a winter of early starts.

How to Use

• Clip the swivel bolt snap to the back ring of the headcollar, under the jaw.
• Lead from the near side with your hand about 30cm below the clip, slack folded flat in the other hand.
• Wash in warm water with a mild detergent; wash a red rope on its own the first time or two.
• Hang by the clip to dry fully before storing.

Care & Caution

• Never wrap the rope around your hand, wrist or waist — cotton grips skin and will burn it if a horse pulls away.
