KM Elite Double Braided Cotton Lead Rope – 7ft, Yellow

Yellow is the brightest of KM Elite's cotton double braid leads and the easiest to spot in a hedge, a lorry locker or the back of a trailer. It is the same 7ft (2.13m) round cotton rope as the rest of the range, with the same brass plated swivel bolt snap.

Because it is a light colour it shows dirt, but cotton washes: a rope like this comes back clean from a bucket of warm water and a scrub, which is not true of every synthetic braid. Hang it up to dry rather than putting it away damp.

How to Use

• Clip the swivel bolt snap to the back ring of the headcollar, under the jaw.
• Lead from the near side, hand roughly 30cm below the clip, spare rope folded flat.
• Wash in warm water with a mild detergent whenever it marks.
• Hang by the clip so the braid dries all the way through.

Care & Caution

• Never wrap the rope around your hand, wrist or waist. A horse pulling away against cotton will burn skin badly.
• Tie to a loop of breakable baler twine with a quick-release knot, never directly to a gate, ring or post.
• Do not leave a horse tied unattended, and do not leave the rope clipped on in the field, where a leg can go through it.
