KM Elite Travel Haynet – Purple, 23", 1.5" Holes

This is the small sibling of the Deluxe: a 23" net with 1.5" holes, holding around 4kg of hay. The shorter body is the point of it — it hangs in a trailer or horsebox without swinging into the partition, and it does not trail down towards the horse's feet once it has been half emptied on the road.

The tighter 1.5" mesh also makes it a sensible net for a pony or a good doer that has to have a restricted forage ration made to last. KM Elite build it from the same premium polypropylene yarn as the full-size Deluxe, in five colours, of which purple is one.

Performance & Benefits
  • 23" travel-size net with 1.5" holes, holding approximately 4kg of hay.
  • Tighter mesh than the 2" Deluxe, so a rationed net lasts noticeably longer.
  • Short enough to hang clear of the floor in a trailer or horsebox.
  • Premium polypropylene yarn, the same material as the full-size Deluxe.
  • Useful as a small hard-feed-free forage net for a pony or a good doer.
<>
Suitable For
  • Travelling in a horsebox or trailer, and for hay at a show.
  • Ponies and small horses on a normal net rather than an oversized one.
  • Good doers and laminitis-prone horses whose forage is weighed and rationed.
  • Soaking small quantities of hay, where a full-size net is unwieldy in the bin.
  • Too small for a full-size horse on ad-lib overnight hay — the 40" Deluxe Haynet holds around 6.5kg and suits that better.
<>
How to Use
  • Hang at wither height or above from a quick-release knot tied to a loop of breakable twine.
  • Fill from the top, draw the cord tight and knot it so the mouth closes as the net empties.
  • In a trailer, tie short enough that the net cannot swing across the horse's face on a bend.
  • Rinse and hang to dry after use with soaked hay or haylage.
<>
Specification
  • 23" (approximately 58cm) net with 1.5" holes.
  • Holds approximately 4kg of hay.
  • Premium polypropylene (PP) yarn.
  • Drawcord closure. Colour: Purple.
  • KM Elite publish an empty weight and a ring specification for the 40" Deluxe but not for this travel size, so neither is stated here.
<>
Care & Caution
  • Tie the net high and to breakable twine. A short net that empties on a journey can still drop far enough for a shod hoof to reach it.
  • Do not leave a travel net hanging loose in a moving trailer once the horse has finished it.
  • Check the mesh where it rubs against a partition or a wall, and retire the net once strands have parted.
