KM Elite Multi-Purpose Gloves – Blue, Size 6

Size 6 is the smallest glove KM Elite make in this style — XS in their lettering — and it is the one that actually fits a narrow hand rather than flapping at the fingertips. The liner is seamless nylon, so there is no ridge across the palm when you close a hand around a rein.

The nitrile palm is what separates these from a cheap knitted glove: it grips a wet lead rope, survives a morning of mucking out, and shrugs off the oil that comes off a clipper. They are cheap enough to keep several pairs on the go and to lose one without much regret.

Performance & Benefits
  • Soft, seamless nylon liner that fits close to the hand and keeps feel in the fingers.
  • Nitrile palm coating for grip on wet reins, damp rope and greasy tack.
  • Grip holds up in the wet as well as the dry, which is where thin riding gloves usually give up.
  • EN388:2016 tested and compliant with Regulation (EU) 2016/425 as applied in UK law.
  • Contact-heat tested, so brief contact with a hot shoe or clipper blade will not melt them.
  • Touchscreen fingertips — the phone works without taking a glove off.
<>
Suitable For
  • Riders and grooms with small hands, and most teenagers.
  • Tacking up, leading, poo-picking, haynet filling and general yard work.
  • Wet mornings where a fabric glove would simply go slippery.
  • Clipping and farriery, where the heat test and the grip both earn their keep.
  • Too small for an average adult male hand — size 8 or 9 in the same glove is the sensible starting point.
<>
How to Use
  • Sizing is generous. KM Elite advise dropping a size if you want a snug fit.
  • Pull on from the cuff and work the fingers down before flexing the palm.
  • Rinse mud and sweat out in warm water and air dry away from direct heat.
  • Replace once the nitrile palm starts to crack — the grip goes before the glove looks worn out.
  • Not intended for prolonged handling of hot metal; the heat test covers brief contact only.
