KM Elite Ultimate Forage Poultry Treat – 750g
A cereal and seed treat designed to be scattered rather than fed from a bowl. That is the point of it: chickens spend most of their waking hours foraging given the chance, and a bored flock is a flock that starts feather-pecking.
The mix carries oyster shell and limestone for calcium, black sunflower and linseed for oil, and Bio-Mos as a prebiotic. KM Elite declare no live probiotic culture in the composition, although probiotics appear in the wording on some listings of this product, including our own title.
<>Performance & Benefits
- Bio-Mos, a prebiotic, is declared in the composition to support gut flora.
- Encourages natural foraging behaviour, reducing boredom and feather-pecking.
- Scatter feeding keeps a flock occupied for far longer than bowl feeding.
- Oyster shell and limestone contribute calcium alongside the layers ration.
- 750g pack.
Suitable For
- Chickens and other poultry.
- Back garden keepers and smallholdings.
- Flocks confined to a run, where boredom is a real risk.
Feeding
- KM Elite's rate is approximately 10–25g per bird per day.
- Scatter across the run or bedding to encourage foraging.
- Feed as a treat alongside a complete layers ration.
- Ensure fresh water is always available.
Composition & Analysis
- Composition: wheat, kibbled maize, mixed millet, white millet, red dari, hi-pro soya, black sunflower seed, medium oyster shell, whole linseed, whole naked oats, maize flake, safflower seed, limestone, full fat soya, soya oil, maize gluten, dicalcium phosphate, Bio-Mos, salt, Orego-Stim, DL-methionine, L-lysine and vitamin E.
- KM Elite publish no analytical constituents for this treat, so no protein, oil, fibre or ash figures are stated here.
- Complementary treat feed — it is not a complete ration.
- Pack: 750g.
Care & Caution
- Treats should make up only a small part of the diet — too many reduce the intake of the balanced layers feed that supports shell quality.
