Lincoln Roll-On Fly Repellent – 50ml
A roll-on solves the one job a spray cannot do well: getting repellent onto the face, round the eyes and inside the ears without any of it going airborne near a horse’s head. You can put it exactly where the flies are landing and nowhere else.
The active is diethyl m-toluamide at 10%, backed by p-menthane-3,8-diol at 0.8%, in a water-based carrier with glycerine to moisturise the skin. It is HSE licensed under registration 7804, and the 50ml bottle is small enough to live in a jacket pocket on a hack.
<>Performance & Benefits
- Roll-on applicator puts the repellent precisely where it is needed, with no overspray.
- Diethyl m-toluamide (DEET) at 10.0% with p-menthane-3,8-diol at 0.8%.
- Water-based rather than oil-based, so it does not leave the coat greasy.
- Glycerine in the formula to moisturise the skin as it goes on.
- Dual action — Lincoln describe it as repelling insects and cooling the skin.
- HSE licensed, registration number 7804.
- 50ml bottle, small enough to carry out riding.
Suitable For
- Faces, around the eyes and the inner ear, where a spray cannot be used safely.
- Horses that will not tolerate the noise of an aerosol or trigger spray.
- Topping up on a hack or between classes at a show.
- Targeted treatment of midge bites along the mane and dock.
- Not enough volume to do a whole horse — for full-body cover a spray such as Lincoln Power Repel is the right product.
How to Use
- Shake the bottle thoroughly before every application.
- Roll onto the areas flies are settling on. Avoid the eyes, the mouth and any broken skin.
- Apply sparingly at first and watch for any reaction before using it more widely.
- Reapply as needed, following the directions on the label.
- Wash your hands after use, and replace the cap firmly.

Care & Caution
- Causes serious eye irritation. Keep it well away from the eyes and wear eye protection when applying it; if it gets in your eyes, rinse with water for several minutes and get medical advice.
- May cause an allergic skin reaction. Patch test on a small area before general use, on the horse and on yourself, and stop using it if the skin reacts.
- Do not apply to broken skin, sores, sweet-itch lesions or raw areas.
- This is a licensed insect repellent containing DEET, not a grooming product. Keep it out of reach of children and away from feed and water.
