Extra Effect is NAF's natural-route repellent, and the one in the pink bottle. Rather than knocking insects down, it camouflages the horse's skin so that the landing site reads as unappealing — the insect's receptors are confused and it moves on to something else.

It sits between citronella and DEET in the NAF Off range: more persistent than a plain citronella liquid, without a synthetic active. One point worth making plainly — NAF publish no ingredient list for Extra Effect, so the garlic and tea tree oil that appear on some retail listings are not claims NAF themselves make.

How to Use

• Shake well before use.
• Spray over the coat against the lie of the hair, covering body, neck and legs.
