Acid Ease is Protexin's dandelion-flavoured powder for horses under acid pressure — in hard training, travelling regularly, or on the high-concentrate, low-forage rations that go with a competition season. It is built round calcium carbonate at 35% of the mix, with kaolin and pectin alongside it, and Protexin's own Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain for the gut behind the stomach.

Feeding

• Protexin's rate: 50g twice daily for the first month, then reduce by half for maintenance.

• At the 50g maintenance rate it lasts about 30 days.
• Mix into the normal feed. Also sold by Protexin in a 3kg tub.
