Pure Easy – Low-Calorie High-Fibre Complete Feed, 15kg

Pure Easy is the low-calorie end of the Pure range: a chaff and pellet mix at 8.5 MJ/kg with 33% fibre, built for horses that need a properly balanced diet without the calories usually attached to one. Energy comes from rapeseed oil and fermentable fibre rather than cereal grain, so it feeds a horse in light or medium work without making it sharp.

Pure's balancer is included, which means one bag covers feed, balancer and digestive support together. Starch is 6% and naturally occurring sugar 4%, a combined 10%, and on that basis Pure list it as suitable for horses with a history of laminitis as well as for good doers and excitable types.

• Not a conditioning feed — a horse that needs to gain weight is better on Pure Condition Mix, and one in harder work on Pure Working.

Feeding

• Feed 400–600g per 100kg bodyweight per day — 2–3kg for a 500kg horse.
• Split the daily ration across at least two feeds where it exceeds about 2kg.
• Feed with generous forage and constant access to fresh water.
• Introduce gradually over 10–14 days when changing from another feed.
