Pure Working – 15kg

Pure Working is the medium-calorie complete feed in the Pure range, built for horses in regular work that need condition and stamina without the sharpness cereal brings. Energy comes from 8% oil on a 34% fibre base at 10 MJ/kg, so it releases steadily through a session rather than arriving all at once.

Starch is 4% and naturally occurring sugar 6% — a combined 10% — and Pure state that this, together with the higher oil content, is what lets it supply extra calories safely to laminitic horses. The balancer is built in, so it needs no separate vitamin and mineral supplement alongside it.

Performance & Benefits
  • 10 MJ/kg from 8% oil on a 34% fibre base — slow-release energy without cereal grain.
  • Combined sugar and starch of 10%, which is Pure's stated basis for laminitic suitability.
  • Balancer included, so no separate vitamin and mineral supplement is needed.
  • Fructo-oligosaccharides and Vistacell live yeast supporting hindgut function.
  • Trace elements including copper 41 mg/kg, zinc 101 mg/kg and selenium 0.4 mg/kg.
  • Free from molasses and wholegrain cereals.
<>
Suitable For
  • Horses in regular work, riding club activity or affiliated competition.
  • Horses that turn sharp on cereal-based feeds.
  • Laminitic and metabolically sensitive horses that still need working calories, on Pure's guidance.
  • Horses needing to hold condition through a season of work.
  • Horses in genuinely hard, fast work — racing or upper-level eventing — need more than 10 MJ/kg. Pure Performance covers that, though at 23% starch it is not a metabolic-horse feed.
<>
Feeding
  • Feed 400–600g per 100kg bodyweight per day — 2–3kg for a 500kg horse.
  • Set the amount by the work actually being done and the condition of the horse.
  • Split the daily ration across at least two feeds.
  • Introduce gradually over 10–14 days when changing feed.
  • Feed alongside generous forage with fresh water available at all times.
