Saracen Veteran Mash – 20kg

Veteran Mash is a daily high-fibre mash formulated for horses and ponies aged 16 and over that need additional nutritional support. It is highly palatable, quick to soak, and enriched with vitamins, minerals, live yeast and omega-3 fatty acids to support digestion, joint health and condition.

The low sugar and starch formulation suits older horses at risk of metabolic conditions, while Palatability Plus encapsulated malted flavour keeps even the fussiest feeders eating reliably. Because it soaks readily into a soft mash, it also works well for horses with compromised teeth, for those needing help with hydration, and as a straightforward way of getting medication or supplements into a horse that would otherwise refuse them.

Feeding

• Soak for 5–10 minutes in warm water, or 20 minutes in cold water.
• Mix at least 1 part feed to 2 parts water. Can be soaked overnight.
• Can also be fed dry if preferred.
• Feed according to bodyweight and condition, with free access to clean, fresh water.

• Composition: soya hulls (GM soya), oatfeed, sunflower seed meal (dehulled), dried sugar beet pulp, molasses, wheatfeed, soya oil (GM soya), calcium carbonate, sodium chloride, vitamins and minerals, malted flavour. 20kg.
• Crude protein 12.0%. Crude oil 4.0%. Crude fibre 22.0%. Starch 8.5%. Sugar 5.0%. Digestible energy 11.5 MJ/kg.
• Per kg: vitamin A 11,500iu, vitamin D 1,150iu, vitamin E 500iu, selenium 0.5mg, live yeast 1.25 x 10¹⁰ CFU.

Care & Caution

• Unlike the Re-Covery Mash, this product can be soaked overnight. Discard any soaked feed that has been left standing in warm weather.
• If the horse has a diagnosed metabolic condition, agree the ration with your vet.
